Jabuticaba is a fruit from the southeast of Brazil that grows on the trunk of trees. The berry is 3 to 4cm in diameter with a purplish-blue colour and has a white and gelatinous flesh with a woody flavour similar to grapes. Hence, its nickname, "Brazilian Vine".
