Review and Tasting

Sampled on 27/04/2017

Appearance:

(sample bottle BBE 20/Feb/17) Hazy, amber with thick retentive beige head and spotted lacing.

Aroma:

Grapefruit and floral hops.

Taste:

Medium to full-bodied with moderate carbonation. Zesty orange and grapefruit, and bitter pine hops with yeasty bread caramel, ripe mango and peach skin.

Aftertaste:

Pine hop bitterness with floral notes and yeasty brown bread.

Overall:

This is a big beer and a proper IPA, yet it’s is balanced and quaffable. Yes, the hops are assertive but not overly bitter with underlying caramel and yeasty bread.
