History:

Adapted from a recipe created by Andrea Gualdi at Maybe Sammy in Sydney, Australia. Andrea's original recipe calls for Tempus Fugit crème de menthe and for the Amaro Montenegro to be infused with spices and this adds a delicious extra something to what is a great drink even without added spice.

Alcohol content:

  • 1.3 standard drinks
  • 21.88% alc./vol. (21.88° proof)
  • 18.6 grams of pure alcohol

A lovely after dinner cocktail for those who, like us, prefer them on the delicate side. But we did take some liberties: using Amaro Nardini, thinking that it might vaguely approximate the creator's spice-infused Montenegro; and substituting Italicus for the creme de menthe.
