A pleasant cocktail. A tad sweet (especially with the garnish). A good way to use up those grapefruits!

Made two versions, one with Bacardi Superiore and one with Veritas. Used gomme syrup for the first and Demerara syrup for the second (ran out of gomme), and homemade spiced rum bitters for both.
The Bacardi was good, the Veritas was great.
Next time I will try it with a mix of Luxardo cherry syrup and maraschino in place of the sugar syrup. It was 34°C today so daiquiri season is well and truly here.

Used a split of Plantation 3 Stars/Bacardi Carta Blanca and added 4 drops of Bob's daiquiri bitters together with a dash of grapefruit bitters- downed the sugar 10-15ml as I like my daiquiris tart- result: the Yossi two thumbs up warranted seal of approval with grin of satisfaction.

Agreed. I've dropped the sugar to 15ml but could have gone down to 12.5ml.

Very nice! Used angostura betters (2 dashes) and added 1 tsp of luxordo maraschino. Worked great :)

Delicious! Home grown grapefruit, Bacardi, simple syrup. I didn't have Bob's Bitters so used Peychaud's. Simple, clean, and pretty.

Swapped out rum for Tito's Vodka and pineapple juice for cane syrup. Lift-Up Cocktail in the age of Covid-19.
