Perched on top of Bedroom Bar this is the latest cocktail spot to emerge in bustling Shoreditch, paying homage to drinking in New Orleans.

Styled after a typical Big Easy drinking den or parlour the decor is simple with small wooden tables and booths as well as a delightful piano where there is often live performances.

The bar itself, seating four or five, displays a jumble of bottles which are mostly dark and has a raft of hurricane glasses, hinting at the house special. After a brief introduction on getting started the menu is divided between classic New Orleans drinking, a few modern creations from the southern city, the bar specials and Hurricanes.

Expect good drinks coupled with strong service, a buzzy atmosphere and stunning wooden panelling in the bathrooms makes Nola a must-visit.
