Review

The Fellow, a British gastro boozer named after the triumphant French racehorse is situated just minutes from both Kings Cross and St Pancras stations. As it's in Euro Star territory, The Fellow encompasses classic and modern Anglo-French cuisine on a 'bistro-style' menu plus a good selection of fromage.

This Fellow is not just a Frenchie gastro boozer, beyond the ground floor dining room with its embossed tinny ceiling hanging over banquet seating A-typical gastro rustic wooden tables and hotchpotch chairs lies an upstairs cocktail lounge.

This upstairs space can be accessed through its own door on Caledonia Street. The fact that the bar is called 'The Black Door Cocktail Bar' should give you a clue to the kind of door you're looking for. Furnished with low tables and sofas this has something of a 70s feel to it. The small adjoining wooden decked, heated roof terrace serves as a secluded smokers' corner.

In our experience the excellent food downstairs is rather better than the cocktails upstairs but with 50 wines, a good spirits selection and a couple of real ales you are spoilt for choice.
