Review

This great little cocktail place shares an entrance with Public, like Siamese twins, both venues part of the growing AvroKO Hospitality Group so benefit from their drinks offering being overseen by bartending legends Naren Young and Linden Pride.

The single roomed space is small and compact but made to look bigger by a huge mirror which covers the wall above polished leather booths. Daily may have red-top tabloid branding but it is so named because its cocktail menu changes every day and this is presented on a letter-board which covers the back wall.

While the Michelin-star-winning Public next door offers a relaxing serious dining environment, Daily is the naughty younger boisterous sibling next door. Great drinks served in an unpretentious, lively environment with a rock-n-roll soundtrack - the antitheses of a speakeasy. The Daily puts fun back into drinking gourmet cocktails. Tasty snacks by chef Brad Farmerie such as 'Fries with Eyes', fried whitebait with lemony tartar sauce, continue the theme.
