Fordham say this is their "interpretation of the Dusseldorf style altbier", "brewed with caramelised malted barley", which apparently gives this beer its "unique copper hue". Brewed with German Magnum, German select and German Tettnang hops, and Caramunich malt.
Sampled on 14/07/2012
Clear, coppery golden with lasting medium off-white head and spotted lacing.
Bready sweet caramel malt with delicate floral hops.
Full-flavoured and wonderfully balanced with lightly bitter pine and sweet caramel palate.
Earthy, lightly bitter pine and with faint toffee notes.
