Produced in Haiti from fermented, fresh-pressed sugar cane juice, Barbancourt is distilled in a single-column then redistilled twice in copper pot stills to approx. 90% abv. This distillate is then diluted with filtered rain water to 50% abv before going into French Limousin oak casks.
After maturation the rum is blended and bottled at the distillery. Barbancourt rums have been made by the Gardère family since 1862.

Clear, coppery amber.
Treacle and caramel give way to peach, apricot, overripe banana and tropical fruit - particularly with a splash of water. Faint nut and chocolate aromas.
Slightly sweet with dry nutty woody notes balanced by sweet fruit and creamy milk chocolate.
Tropical fruit, grilled nuts, bitter cacao and delicately spiced oak.
