This ‘tri-distilled special’ Rives gin is based on twice distilled grain spirit, distilled a 3rd time in copper pot stills with 11 botanicals: juniper, coriander, angelica seeds and roots, cassia, liquorice, grains of paradise, bitter almonds, Italian orris root powder, lemon and bitter orange peel.
The botanicals are macerated for 24 hours before distillation in the English made John Dore copper stills is started.
The image of the ship Santa Maria stamped onto the bottle remembers one of the ships Christopher Columbus used in the discovery of America and also Puerto de Santa María, the town in Cádiz where Rives is made.
