This English porter is named in honour of Simon Evans (1895-1940) who, suffering the effects of poisonous gas in WW1, settled in Cleobury Mortimer, home of Hobson’s Brewery. He became a postman, and the people and places on his 18-mile round proved the inspiration for his novels and short stories.

Postman's Knock is brewed with Maris Otter malted barley, Dark Crystal malt, Pale Chocolate malt and wheat. The hops used are Worestershire Fuggles and Goldings.
