Machir Bay is the core expression of Kilchoman Distillery and is matured in ex-bourbon barrels and Oloroso Sherry butts.

First launched in 2012, the Machir Bay range is Kilchoman’s core expression. Bottled once a year, each release contains ever more mature whisky allowing aficionados to follow the development of Kilchoman as it matures.

Appearance:

Clear, pale golden amber.

Aroma:

Pungent earthy smoky peat with lemon zest, salt and apple pie. Biscuity notes emerge with water.

Taste:

Salty, lightly buttery smoky peat with pineapple fruit, lemon zest, vanilla and biscuit. Saltier with water.

Aftertaste:

Long lingering salty, smoky peat with cracked black pepper spice.

Overall:

Classic Islay - salty, lightly buttery smoky peat with zesty lemon and tropical fruit.
