Review and Tasting

Sampled on 04/11/2013

Appearance:

(sample “best before end 2023”, bottle No. 084823) Clear, coppery amber with thin, long lasting white head.

Aroma:

Raisins, figs and prunes with pine and old wardrobe oak.

Taste:

Caramelised raisons and figs with piney hop bitterness, chocolate and liquorice. Sticky on your lips.

Aftertaste:

Cherry, liquorice and sweet cereal with cooked apple juice and burnt raison and cinnamon spice. Great now but with the promise of even better with ageing – potentially until 2023.
