Appearance:

Clear, deep golden amber.

Aroma:

Toasted almond, leather, plum and stewed fruit with light clove, nutmeg and black pepper.

Taste:

Rich plum sweetness balances toasted almond, oak tannins, nutmeg and cinnamon spice.

Aftertaste:

Fruit cake, plum, toasted nuts and warming spice.

Overall:

Characterful, robust in structure and beautifully balanced with toasty oak tannins and dry nuttiness offset by rich plum, madeira cake and fruit cake, enlivened by warming Christmassy spice.
