Review and Tasting

Sampled on 03/01/2018

Appearance:

(sample bottle best before 22/Nov/18, batch 252) Clear, golden amber with moderately thick white head and good lacing.

Aroma:

Toasty malt with zest orange, pine and floral hops.

Taste:

Medium-bodied. Attractive bitter hoppy bite, light rye spice and rye bread flavour, with floral notes. Moderate carbonation.

Aftertaste:

Lingering assertively bitter pine and citrus hops, faint rye spice.

Overall:

Dry with assertive bitter hops - pine and citrus. As Freedom say, a drinkable “go to” session pale ale. Reminiscent of this prototype.
