Master Distiller, Jamie Baxter distils this premium strength Distiller's Cut Gin using the same 11 botanicals he uses for Burleigh's signature gin, but in a different ratio.

Jamie says, "Distiller's Cut is distilled with a higher proportion of softer, sweeter, more floral ingredients making it perfectly suited to cocktails such as the Martinez or in a gin and tonic garnished with pink grapefruit and a sprig of rosemary."

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Piney juniper and eucalyptus with zesty citrus and subtle floral aromas.

Taste:

Surprisingly soft on the palate considering the high alc./vol.. Piney, spicy and earthy juniper leads with floral, lightly sweet violet, candied citrus and zesty citrus.

Aftertaste:

Very long floral finish with lightly bitter zesty grapefruit and dry white pepper spiced piney juniper.

Overall:

Considering its punchy 47% alc./vol., this floral and citrusy gin has a surprisingly soft mouthfeel, but that punch helps it stand up well to tonic water.
