Appearance:
Clear, golden amber.
Aroma:
Toasted oak, tea chest, toffee apple, burnt butter, and cigar box.
Taste:
Chewy faintly smoky oak tannins, pecan pie, sweet honeycomb, saddle leather, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Aftertaste:
Lightly bitter woody, almost black tea-like tannins, honeycomb, and cinnamon spice.
Overall:
A big expressive bourbon with generous oak tannins balanced by sweet honeycomb and pecan pie. All too easy to sip on. Makes a great Old-Fashioned.
