Review and Tasting

Sampled before 1st May 2011

Appearance:

Coppery gold in colour.

Aroma:

The nose has vanillin, hessian sack, freshly cut wood, cherry-chocolate nutty notes (kirsch) with hints of seaside grass.

Taste:

Slightly oily palate delivers exactly what the nose promises (with bells on). Creamy, malty with butterscotch, cocoa powder, chocolate and nutty, dried fruit, garnished with citrussy sea spray.

Aftertaste:

Grippy, malty finish with an oaky overtone.
