Review and Tasting

Sampled on 15/04/2025

Appearance:

Clear and bright. Golden amber with burnished copper glints.

Aroma:

Toasted hazelnuts, balsawood, thyme, Cheddar cheese, buttery freshly baked brown bread and faint zesty mandarin orange.

Taste:

Light-bodied, dry, crisp and savoury with toasted hazelnut and subtle salinity. Softened with rich hints of currants and sultana.

Aftertaste:

Long, dry, roasted nutty finish with a bite that could be mistaken for acidity.

Overall:

A delicious and traditionally styled dry amontillado with a rich and nutty flavour gained over years of ageing.
