High & Dry was Booth’s second gin. It launched after the war when there was a trend for marketing cleanness and purity, which worked against the golden hue of their established Finest brand. High & Dry was referred to as “the world’s driest gin”. Interests owned by Diageo but not currently produced.

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 22/07/2012

Appearance:

Clear, transparent.

Aroma:

Superbly clean juniper, little if any citrus evident.

Taste:

Mineral palate with classic juniper flavours of pine, lavender, camphor with cracked black pepper bite. Slightly oily mouth feel.

Aftertaste:

Cleansing cracked black pepper and pine. Superbly clean straight forward juniper but lacks complexity.
