Cedrata is made with Cedro ("citron" in English) Diamante fruit from Calabria. Cedro (citron in English) is an intensely flavoured large yellow citrus fruit with a particularly thick pith. This cordial is designed to be added to water with ice.

Native to the Middle East, Cedro was introduced to Italy during the 10th century and thrives in the country’s southern regions, such as Calabria.

Appearance:

(sample bottle BB 04/Jun/17) Clear, bright canary yellow.

Aroma:

Pungent zesty citrus with distinctive pine cone aroma.

Taste:

Intense sweet and sourness with very zesty lime cordial like notes.

Aftertaste:

Lingering sweet zesty lime with citric acidy.

Overall:

Intensely flavoured zesty lime cordial with rich sweetness balancing strong citric acidity. An interesting product to use in a Gimlet.
