How to make:
STIR all ingredients with ice and strain into ice-filled glass (preferably over a large cube or chunk of block ice).
1 fl oz | Straight rye whiskey (100 proof / 50% alc./vol.) |
1 fl oz | Bourbon whiskey |
1/3 fl oz | Barrow's Intense Ginger Liqueur |
1/3 fl oz | Disaronno amaretto |
2 dash | Angostura Aromatic Bitters |

Review:
Rye and ginger liqueur provide the spice, bourbon adds a mellow backbone, while amaretto caresses the palate.
History:
A riff on my Toasted Old Fashioned Godfather, created in November 2021 by Linda Cooke, a Discerning Drinker, who reports that her version not only tastes good (we agree!) but is something of a cold remedy.
