Garnish:
Skewered Luxardo Maraschino cherry
How to make:
STIR all ingredients with ice and strain into chilled glass.
1 fl oz | Hayman's London Dry Gin |
1/2 fl oz | Green Chartreuse (or alternative herbal liqueur) |
2/3 fl oz | Strucchi Rosso Vermouth |
1 dash | Orange Bitters by Angostura |
1/6 fl oz | Chilled water (omit if wet ice) |
Review:
The original recipe, and indeed our old recipe, called for equal parts of main the three ingredients to create a powerful cocktail in both alcohol and flavour. Upping the gin but knocking back the Chartreuse rebalances this classic cocktail.
