Difford's Guide took a deeper look at cocktails made with the House of Angostura's own Amaro. Most well known for their iconic aromatic bitters and rum range, the Amaro di Angostura was created using the House of Angostura bitters base and blending neutral spirit with carefully selected spices to create this beautiful herbal liqueur.

The Amaro di Angostura is a new world amaro, with spirit, spices and herbs mixed and left to marry for three months. The resulting liqueur is deep amber colour, with delicate aromas of cinnamon, dark chocolate and the unmistakable Angostura aromatic bitters. The flavours round out with warm cinnamon and liquorice notes.

Here are six signature Amaro di Angostura cocktails.
