Diageo’s Italian operations started in 1985, when what was then Grand Metropolitan invested in Francesco Cinzano, fully acquiring the company in 1992. Seven years later, the Cinzano brand was sold and in 2002, the company assumed the name of Diageo Italy S.p.A..
Based in the historic factory of Santa Vittoria d'Alba with it roots dating back to 1757 when Cinzano was established but now a modern production facility employing over 430 employees and one of the largest bottling plants in Italy.
