Review

This latest branch of the modern urban wine bar chain, from the team behind award-winning restaurant Texture, is centred around a beautiful island bar. Impeccably dressed and well-groomed staff buzz about the zinc-topped structure offering a polished service. Around you, old wine packing cases and champagne cellar racks are mixed with hard metal for a uniquely rustic and contemporary interior. Bare edison lightbulbs mean it's warm and atmospheric.

The wine list is voluminous without having to be contained in a telephone book-style menu. European-focused, with a large selection of champagnes (40-50 types, four by the glass, ), it offers a table-mat at-a-glace menu with plenty of options by the glass, carafe and bottle, while a separate 'collector's menu' contains even more top-shelf options, with vintages extending back across the decades and a large selection of sweet and fortified wines.

With 75ml serves starting at £2.40, and bottles rising into the thousands, there's really something for everyone.
