Review

Perhaps better described as a whisky bar than a mere pub, The Pot Still is a well-established Glaswegian institution. This single roomed Victorian pub retains its original ornate cornices and ceiling, now resplendent in baby pink. A raised rear gallery gives those lucky enough to score a seat there a vantage point looking down over the old dark varnished bar and its shelves displaying line after line of whisky.

If the dram you fancy is seemly out of reach, don't hesitate to ask as the friendly staff are used to fetching bottles down. If you'd like a splash of water with your malt, then use the original Victorian water tap on the left of the bar.

Do as many of the locals do and order a beer such Deucher's IPA or one of the changing guest beers and a dram - known locally as a half and half.
The indecisive may find the malt of the month displayed on the chalk board in the centre of the bar a useful option.

You'll find a good buzz here pretty much any time of day as locals put the world to rights over a pint and/or a dram.
