Review By Simon Difford on 2014-03-09

Opened in March 2014, L'aiglon is a new opening in the hip Bukit Pasoh area by Pierre-Emmanuel Plassart, a French ex-photographer and filmmaker. He's very patriotic so pretty much all the decor and plush furnishings were shipped from France, not to mention vital ingredients to the cocktail list such as French tomatoes (try the 'Screaming Tomatoes' with vodka and black pepper).

A secluded walled patio separates L'Aiglon from the street. Inside the long narrow space dark stone-like wallpaper sits brilliantly under a black ceiling. Blood red chairs and wall lights add some colour to the otherwise blackened dimly lit boudoir.

Plentiful and well honed staff provide superb standards of service and bartending with well executed cocktails best enjoyed alongside the Asian-French fusion sharing plates.
