Dark and moody yet as the name suggests occupying a corner site with windows on two sides, blinds stop things getting too bright early evenings. This is a dream of a bar due to its outstanding beer list great cocktails, top shelf liquor selection and even great wines.

It's a 'take it how you find it', unpretentious place with chunky dark wood and bare concrete. Moody music adds to the relaxed vibe. To say the street side terrace is covered makes it sound grander than it is but these tables are a great place to watch the comings and goings on what is a relatively sleepy street. A serving window directly from the bar adds to the alfresco experience.

A huge old framed mirror behind the bar sits between two screens showing sport. The high ceiling gives sufficient space to house huge chalk boards above the windows detailing the impressive 80 plus beer selection under the headings draught, domestic, and imported. Seven classics lead the 15 strong cocktail menu with bartender calls such as the Vieux Carre, Pisco Punch and Sazerac, while the "Nouveaux" drinks kick off with the Trinity (bourbon, peach liqueur, lemon and basil) but also try asking for the Whiskey On The Moon (Death's Door White Whiskey, clove, milk and lemon zest) from a previous menu.
