Review

The Beaufort bar occupied the space which was formerly the hotel's cabaret stage, previously graced by the likes of George Gershwin, who premiered Rhapsody in Blue at the Savoy. Now, the back-lit bar frontage itself looks like something of a stage, with the bartenders the performers.

The black and gold interior is perhaps redolent of a London hotel bar as imagined by a Dubai hotelier, than classic old-school British hospitality: this is all about extremely polished finishes, plush upholstery, deep carpets and acres of gold leaf.

An impressive list of cocktails is served with exotic glassware and hand-cut ice, alongside a monumental list of champagnes. Be sure to choose your cocktail from the black pages and don't miss the delicious lobster tempura.
