Duvel, ‘devil’ in Flemish, is brewed using a 90 day process: malted barley with Saaz hops from the Czech Republic and Styrian Golding hops from Slovenia. Yeast cultured from the original Scottish strain selected by Victor Moortgat in 1918. Prolonged lagering and seconday fermentation in the bottle.

(best before Dec-14) Cloudy, light sandy golden with huge white head leaving heavy lacing.

Yeasty, spiced bready nose with cracked black pepper alcohol, apple skin and pear.

Taste

Herbal, spicy, fruity, yeasty and grainy – all served with a bitter sweetness and a balanced whack of alcohol. What more do you want from a beer?

Barley, yeast and spice with lingering sweet black pepper tingle.
