This non chill-filtered Speyside malt was launched in the USA in February 2012. Like the standard (filtered) Aberlour 12 year old it is aged in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon casks and sherry seasoned butts, but benefits from a higher bottling strength as well as being unfiltered.

Clear, deep golden amber.
Rich fruitcake, dark dried fruit, toasty biscuit, walnuts with creamy mocha coffee.
Dark and toasty with burnt fruitcake, mocha coffee, chocolate mouse, plum fruit and spice (nutmeg, cinnamon and light clove).
Toasty mocha coffee, chocolate cake and spice. Takes a splash of water well. A malt for a winter’s evening by the fire.
