Review and Tasting

Sampled on 30/09/2012

Appearance

Pale straw yellow with some tiny partials in suspension.

Aroma

Pungent spiced oily muslin cloth – think aromatherapy – with pine and spruce needles, cardamom, coriander, cinnamon and clove.

Taste

Slightly sweet and aggressively flavoured with not just the high alcohol strength packing a punch. Juniper struggles or dominance in a spice war waged on one’s palate.

Aftertaste

Very long. Lingering cardamom, coriander and clove led, hot spicy finish. Thankfully the days of Prohibition are behind us.
