As with many Dalmore releases, Valour is named to commemorate the Mackenzie Clan’s ancestor saving King Alexander from a charging stag in 1263. This triple wood matured malt is initially aged in a mix of first-fill ex-bourbon casks and 30 year old oloroso sherry butts, then finished in Port pipes. Read more

Appearance

Clear, coppery amber with polished copper coin tones.

Aroma

New chamois leather, cigar box, custard cream biscuits in a tin and dried fruit.

Taste

Dried pineapple, earthy leathery cedar wood, fudge and tobacco leaf with cinnamon and clove spice.

Aftertaste

Lingering cedar wood and clove with very light salty smoke.
