Review and Tasting

Sampled on 02/03/2017

Appearance

Crystal clear.

Aroma

Lemon grass, lime zest, eucalyptus, pine, thyme, sage and white pepper.

Taste

Intense and spicy with chilli and black pepper heat, lemon grass, thyme, cooked lime peel, pine and eucalyptus.

Aftertaste

Resinous pine and cracked black pepper spice.

Overall

Despite its very high alcohol content and cracked black pepper forward spicy botanicals, The Captain’s Cut is surprisingly subdued with water/tonic. A gin for those who like their G&T served spicy with delicate herbal complexity.
