Orange zest twist

I share Embury's appreciation of this fine, delicate Orange Daiquiri. However, we've tweaked his formulation as we found the original somewhat rich and over citrusy.

Created by David A. Embury, who in his 1948 'Fine Art of Mixing Drinks' writes of this drink: "As a grand finale to cocktails based on the Rum Sour, I give you one of my favorites which I have named after my favorite community." Larchmont is a village in Westchester County, New York where he lived for many years.

Embury's original recipe:
1/2 part Sugar syrup
2 parts Lime juice
2 parts Grand Marnier
6 parts White Cuban rum
