2 fl oz Patrón Silver Tequila (green seal) 100% agave tequila
2 fl oz Freshly squeezed lime juice
½ fl oz Tomato juice
½ fl oz Pomegranate juice
¼ fl oz Freshly squeezed orange juice
½ fl oz Freshly squeezed lime juice
fl oz Giffard Sirop Grenadine (Grenadine Syrup)
2 drop Hot pepper sauce
2 dash Worcestershire sauce
1 pinch Salt
1 grind Black pepper

How to make:

POUR tequila and lime juice into separate shot (caballitos) glasses. To make Sangrita to fill third glass, SHAKE rest of ingredients with ice and fine strain into glass. Instruct drinker to sip from all three glasses alternatively.




In Mexico the quality of the homemade Sangrita can make or break a bar. The Sangrita in this trio is spicy and slightly sweet.


A popular and classic way of serving tequila in Mexico. Bandera is Spanish for flag and the 'Bandera de México' is or course green, white and red - hence the three glasses: lime juice (green), blanco tequila (clear or "white") and Sangrita (red).

Incidentally, Sangrita means 'little blood' in Spanish and the drink is served with tequila in practically every bar in Mexico.
