|1 1⁄2 fl oz||Ketel One Vodka|
|3⁄4 fl oz||Cherry Heering Liqueur|
|1⁄4 fl oz||G. Miclo Kirsch Vieux Eau de Vie|
Sweet brandy meets dry cherry eau-de-vie in this serious vodka laced cocktail.
We have David Wondrich to thank for discovering this drink, believed to be the first vodka cocktail to appear in print. He found it in a 1911 book called Beverage Deluxe and the drink itself is thought to originally come from the St. Charles Hotel in New Orleans, USA.
