History:

Created in 2007 by Jacob Briars, Queenstown, New Zealand. Around the time a Facebook group started called 'A Jihad on all Blue Drinks'. This was Jacob's reaction to it. He 'blued' the most popular bartenders' drink at the time, a Corpse Reviver No.2.
