Following an intense round of judging each of the Top 20’s unique Chivas Regal cocktails, the Chivas Masters competition has revealed the seven bartenders who will compete at the Dutch Final on 21st May at the W Lounge in Amsterdam.

The bartenders progressing to the last stage and presenting their Chivas cocktail to an expert jury and live audience are:
James Chaib - The Tailor (Amsterdam)
Jan Dirk Huijser van Reenen - Mr Sammi (Roermond)
Lucas Sedlmaier - Rosalia's Menagerie (Amsterdam)
Martin Eisma - Bluespoon Bar (Amsterdam)
Salena Koch – Pulitzer’s Bar (Amsterdam)
Sebastian Cichowlas – The Jitterbug Saloon (Amsterdam)
Vitaly Alekseyev - Cut Throat (Amsterdam)

For the first time ever, the finalists will also be taking part in the CHIVAS MASTERS WEEK; an entire week where the bartenders promote their cocktail in their own bars and have it available for guests to try.

Head to any of the above bars between Sunday 5th May and Saturday 11th May for your chance to taste their creations!

The Chivas Masters Final will take place on Tuesday 21st May at 19:30 at the W Lounge in Amsterdam, as the official afterparty to the Perfect Serve Barshow. Guests will see the Final 7 bartenders present their drink and witness the crowning of the new Chivas Master whilst enjoying complimentary Chivas cocktails & bites all evening as well as soothing sounds by DJ Sjeazy Pearl.

The event is OPEN TO EVERYONE but guests MUST register for a spot in advance by signing up here.

How did we select the top 7?

Throughout April, each member of the Top 20 were visited in their own bar and asked to present their cocktail to the judging panel. As well as the taste, aroma, balance and presentation of the drink itself, each bartender was also judged on the alignment of their story with the theme, their delivery and their bartending technique.

Owen Martin, Chivas Brand Activation Manager and Head Judge, said he was blown away by the level of talent seen around the country and that selecting the Final 7 was no easy task. “It’s been a genuine pleasure tasting such wonderful Chivas cocktaiIs and hearing such inspiring stories from this year’s participants.
