The Bols Bartending Academy has partnered with the Dutch board for hospitality education (SVH) to help develop bartending education in the Netherlands.
The Bols Bartending Academy is an internationally recognised bar school located in the museum district in Amsterdam. Since it was established in 2007, they have trained over 30,000 bartenders around the world. In 2019, the bar school launched an online educational programme so that they can reach even more bar and hospitality professionals worldwide.
The Bols Bartending Academy has come together with SVH to offer certified and optimised courses and exams, while the Bols Bartending Academy will advise SVH on their educational programmes.
“The partnership with SVH adds even more value to our courses. Their knowledge in didactics and examination brings our courses to the next level and will help bartenders to be more successful in their profession. SVH wants to bridge the gap between their theoretical and practical skills within the hospitality field. This is our area of expertise and our experience can be very beneficial for our students. We are very proud of the certification and recognition by the SVH and we look forward to a long and fruitful cooperation,” said the Global Education Manager Lucas Bols, Ivar de Lange.
Ricardo Eshuis, the CEO of SVH, said, “More and more hospitality concepts add cocktails to their bar programs. This is a very specific specialism that deserves good education and examination. Demand in bartending professionals will only increase.”
