Known to his friends as ‘Guru’, Guruprashanth's discovered his passion for bartending during his college days, leading him to start his bartending journey by joining the team of professionals in The Leela Palace, Kempinski, Bangalore in 2008. His thirst for knowledge and experience led him to Dubai in 2010 where he headed the bar team at One & Only The Palm, where he was awarded as Best Employee Of The Year 2011. Then at Dubai’s The Bahri Bar, Mina A'Salam Hotel, Madinat Jumeirah he was awarded “Best Bartender Of The Year-Middle East 2013” by Caterer Middle East.

Guru was a Finalist in the Peter F. Heering Sling Awards 2015.

“A history in which every particular incident may be true may on the whole be false” but for me “As true as is the history of Sling - truth is there in every drop of Cherry Heering liqueur for its immaculate taste for the celebration”
