Born and raised in Amsterdam. Copywriter by degree, bartender by heart. Enjoyed time at legendary bars such as Herrie, Door 74 and Feijoa. Joined the dark side for a short stint as brand ambassador for Ketel One Vodka in the Benelux. He opened and ran his first (temporary) bar Porem inside restaurant Geisha. After a good three years in the middle of the mayhem that is the Red Light District it was time to move to a permanent location. Porem closed down and Branie is about to open. For this bar and restaurant he teamed up with Rick Welcker from Feijoa to form a Amsterdam powerhouse duo. Branie will serve small Asian dishes, cocktails and Amsterdamse gezelligheid.
Restaurant Branie will be opening half May and is located on Ten Katestraat 26, next to the famous Foodhallen (Foodcourt).
