Pont Fer, Phoenix, Mauritius
First brewed in 1963, Phoenix is the national beer of Mauritius and is brewed on the island using malted spring barley from Australia and Europe.
Launched in 1990, Blue Marlin, which is the high strength premium brew from the island's only brewery, is now a familiar sight in its native Mauritius.
This relatively new member of the Phoenix family of beers is a low alcohol beer with citrus flavouring, which its makers say is targeted at health conscious adults.
