This back street local is a great find. While not far from the front it is a million miles away from the tacky, tourist filled bars by the beach. The interior is a-typical tradition British boozer complete with fruit machines, loud pub carpet, walls lined framed with prints and a convivial crowd of locals putting the world to rights over a pint.
While atmosphere must be this pubs biggest draw, its comfort food menu must come a close second. Menu items range from 'Parsnip fritters with blue cheese' through to '28 day aged Sussex herd fillet steak' with classic ploughman's and full English Breakfast in between. The offering is classic pub but with up to five varying real ales.
There is also a hidden outside roof terrace enclosed by the walls of surrounding buildings adorned with large murals.
