Boasting a large American whiskey collection, live music every night and a menu of ribs, jambalaya and barbecue, Blues Kitchen transports you to the Deep South via the Northern Line.
This large venue has about 50 premium whiskeys - it's by no means exhaustive but the list differentiates bourbons from Tennessee whiskeys, ryes, small batch, single barrel and corn whiskeys, and all are artistically arranged on an underlit signature back-bar display in front of aged mirrors. There's a good list of American whiskey cocktails too, from classic Manhattans and Sazeracs to more modern, longer and fruitier concoctions. Drinks are well made - properly stirred or vigorously shaken.
The line-up of bluegrass, country, blues and soul acts attracts some big name stars and is complemented by more modern bands too - including Camden caner Pete Doherty when he's in between prison 'visits'. It gets loud in here later on, so this is more of a place to go with a gig-friendly group rather than an intimate date.
