International - World Sake Day

What: Celebrate Japan's native drink, sake, otherwise known as 'rice-wine' on its very own celebratory day.

USA - Great American Beer Festival

What: Takes place at the Colorado Convention Centre for a large public tasting event and a private competition. Tickets go on sale from 31 July.

UK - London Cocktail Week

What: One of the world's largest cocktail festivals celebrates its 10th anniversary! There will be exciting events across London, plus all the action and tasty cocktails at The Cocktail Village. UK - The York Whisky Festival

What: York Whisky Festival invites whisky enthusiasts and experts alike to sample great home-grown whiskies from Scotland as well as meet distillers from around the world including from India, Taiwan, Japan and USA. UK - Whisky Live Paris 2019

What: The Whisky Live Paris is an exciting tasting event which brings together brands from across the globe. It's one of the largest tasting events, and not only are whiskies under the spotlight, but other spirits including rum. Visitors can dabble in the rum gallery or perhaps taste one of the other fine spirits on offer. Cocktail Street also returns which dedicates an entire street to cocktails and food - 2018 saw over 18,000 visitors and 26,000 cocktails. Book your tickets here.

UK - Armagnac Academies

Trade only
What: Following launches in China, UK and the US, the Armagnac Academies return to London this month co-hosted by Armagnac educators Amanda Garnham and Hannah Lanfear. Bartenders, sommeliers and retailers will explore France's original craft spirit, armagnac and have the opportunity to enjoy lectures and tastings and conclude the day's session with an official diploma. Invitations will follow soon.

UK - Bacardi's Rum Room pop-up

What: This London Cocktail Week, Bacardi will be opening their Rum Room pop up for an immersive tasting experience. Guests can delve into Bacardi's premium rums, including a taste of the new Bacardi Gran Reserva Diez which has been barrel-aged for 10 years. Also, guests have the opportunity to sign up for a Bacardi Rum Masterclass with brand ambassador Metinee (May) Kongsrivilai. Find out more information and to book your place at the link below.

Singapore - Rum Bellion 2019

What: Rum Bellion presents one of Singapore's first rum festival experiences introduced by Neon Pigeon, Taki Taki, Limehouse and Bula Café & Bar. The event will be held at the four venues, with rum brands from around the round joining the festival with celebrations along the Keong Saik Road, from a Caribbean-inspired carnival and face painters for kids plus a market selling gifts. Rum Bellion will also welcome guest shifts from acclaimed bars, including BlackTail from NY and Dirty Dick from Paris. Guests will be able to join masterclasses and tastings, with food on offer throughout the day and drinks coupons available on the door or prior to the event on the Rum Bellion website. To celebrate it's inaugural edition, the first 200 guests will receive a "Rum-Bellion" tote bag filled with merchandise and goodies.

UK - Edinburgh Cocktail Week

What: Edinburgh Cocktail Week brings together over 70 bars in the city, each crafting a unique menu for the week-long celebration. Guests with a wristband can enjoy £4 signature cocktails and gain free access to the Cocktail Village, housing 19 pop-up bars including Edinburgh Gin, Eden Mill, Patron Tequila, Absolute Vodka and Johnnie Walker, as well as live music, masterclasses and entertainment. This year sees a new extension with the Forest themed space inviting guests to go 'camping with cocktails'. ECW also introduces the Cocktail Domes, an opportunity to experience the city's skyline from a rooftop garden inside transparent domes. Wristbands start at just £6. Find out more here.

UK - The RumFest Trade Show & Conference Day

Trade-only
What: A trade and press-only event bringing together wholesalers, rum brands including boutique, distributors and the press. Meet importers and agents which can help launch your rum brand or reengage with the press. Find out more here. The trade show is then followed by the two-day RumFest between 19-20 October.

UK - RumFest

What: One of the world's largest rum festivals returns, sponsored by Coca Cola Signature Mixers. Following last year's festival which saw 2,500 visitors descend on London's Earl's Court, the UK RumFest 2019 will feature over 400 rums, seminars from leading rum brands and experts, masterclasses, and award-winning rum bars. The Rum Auction will also showcase rums priced from £150 - £3,500. Food will be available courtesy of the Heart & Soul food buffet, plus entertainment during the festival's Carnival hour. UK - The Wine Show Chelsea

What: This show welcomes both consumers with an interest in premium wines and those in the trade. The Wine Show Chelsea is a concept created by the team behind The Wine & Spirits Show. Visitors can attend masterclasses hosted by leading experts in the industry including Masters of Wine, and also taste and buy premium wines on offer over the three-day show.
