UK - Ketel One Vodka's One Square Mile Initiative

What: This September, Ketel One challenges bartenders to create a cocktail menu by sourcing local ingredients within a one-mile radius of their venue and featuring them in a cocktail. Bars in the UK will showcase their three-drink Ketel One Vodka menu using locally-sourced ingredients during the week-long initiative, running from 2 - 8 September 2019. Take a look below at the participating bars and where you can join the party:
2 September: Launch night at Nine Lives, London at 6pm - 9pm.
A masterclass will be open to all presenting the Nine Lives' One Square Mile cocktails. Also guests can sit in on talks from community partners Bermondsey Bees and Southwark Shuck.
2 September: Wilderness Bar & Kitchen, Manchester at 5pm - 8pm.
Adam Day hosts, World Class GB finalist 2018, alongside community partners Manchester Cathedral, Moss Cider Project and Bohea Tea.
3 September: Amicos Bar, Essex at 6pm - 11pm.
Bar owner, Dan Dove, discusses the Ketel One Vodka Edible Garden project and other local collaborations. Bartenders from Hide Below, London Edition, CUB, Kwant, Gold and Happiness Forgets will also step behind the bar during the night.
3 September: Six, Nottingham at 5pm - 8pm.
An exciting evening hosted by Dan Warren, GB World Class winner 2018, alongside the kitchen team at Restaurant Six and community partners.
4 September: Terrior Tapas, Southbourne at 5pm - 10pm.
All are welcome and guests can sample Terrior Tapas' menu while sitting in on talks from James Fowler and suppliers.
4 September: Public, Sheffield at 4pm - 8pm.
Jack Wakelin hosts alongside community partners, Steam Yard Coffee Co for an evening of One Square Mile cocktails.
8 September: Closing party at Fitz Bar, London at 7pm - 12pm.
The final night of celebrations will bring together DJs The Hotel Lobby while suppliers and community partners discuss their collaborations.

Scotland - Spirit of Speyside Distilled

What: The Spirit of Speyside Distilled event brings together food and drink producers of the region for their 4th year. From bestselling single malts and Walkers Shortbread to artisan gins and locally brewed beers, guests can enjoy four sessions across the two day event, and tickets include entry, six tasting samples, lanyard and tasting glass.

International - Wine Education Week

What: As part of Wine & Spirit Education Trust's 50th anniversary campaign, the Wine Education Week celebrates the growing population of wine consumers around the world. The week kicks-off with a 24-hour global food and wine tasting session across 24 countries, starting in Auckland and ending in California. In the UK, the launch event attempts to break the Guinness World Records title for the largest ever recorded sommelier lesson. You can purchase your tickets here. USA - Kentucky Bourbon Festival

What: This week-long festival invites bourbon enthusiasts from across the globe to celebrate its history and production. Join the great bourbon tasting and gala event, celebrate a night of jazz and bourbon, plus enjoy events centred on the craft of barrel making and bottling bourbon.

Italy - Roma Bar Show

What: An exclusive bar show for the hospitality trade welcoming expert speakers from across the globe to present seminars and masterclasses. Guests can also explore tastings on offer and cheer on those competing in cocktail competitions during the two-day event.
