The Benevolent, the UK drinks industry charity, is recruiting experienced cyclists in the trade for their annual bike ride charity fundraiser.
This year, The Benevolent is hosting their cycle challenge in Sussex. The event will be held on the 12th August 2018. Riders will set off at 10am from the wine estates in the South Downs of Sussex and begin their ride through Sussex wineries.
The Tour D'Estates Ride will take cyclists through a route covering 103km, including a ride through Bolney Wine Estates, and Rathfinny Wine Estates, where the challenge ends. At the finishing line, riders will be greeted with a congratulatory BBQ and refreshments.
The Marketing Director of WineGB, Julia Trustam Eve, commented on the brilliant support of the English Vineyards: "This will be a challenging cycling tour, but we know everyone taking part will be up for it! It's raising money for a great cause and brilliant that two of our top producers, Rathfinny and Bolney, are supporting the cyclists to complete their long circuit. Good luck to all participants!"
The charity aims to raise £20,000 during this year's fundraiser. The money raised will go towards those in the trade experiencing medical or financial hardship, or those facing difficulties such as a family crisis or debt.
If you'd like to contribute towards a brilliant cause, The Benevolent is raising funds on their JustGiving page.
