It's day eleven on our Crimbo Cocktail Calendar, and we introduce the next treat made at this elegant Art Deco bar which holds an opulent gin and champagne collection.

Glass: Rocks
Garnish: Angostura bitters float and orange peel
Method: Build in a mixing tin and shake. Double strain into glass over a large ice cube. Garnish then serve and enjoy!
25 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
15 ml Orgeat (Almond Syrup)
5 ml Fresh Ginger Syrup
10 ml Velvet Falernum (Rum based liqueur with almond, clove and lime)
15 ml Whitley’s Quince Gin
40 ml Ford’s Gin
Jesse's Inspiration:
The cocktail name is nod to Romain de Tirtoff aka “Ertè” a famous art deco designer and artist. One of his most famous works is called “Symphony in Black.”
The cocktail is inspired by the traditional flavours in mulled wine, a classic European winter holiday drink. It is traditionally served hot and has spices almond and clove, I took those flavors and applied them to a gin sour variation (not served hot).
